Weather Troubles

Filming the final part of my music video has been difficult as the weather hasnt been suitbale to carry out the filming. Using my friends video camera on sunday the 22nd of february i tried to film but the lighting was poor and the weather was rain which would have made it difficult to film on two seperate occasions and make the continuity throughout both clips. I am hoping to get the final few shots done in the very near future as with these shots done i can start to build my music video properly.

Progress...

since starting my coursework i have progressed to a point where i can do some serious editing. to do this i had to learn new softwear which is different to others i have used in the past like imovie which is much simpler. however since starting it has become apparent that i have taken too much on by working by myself as i have struglled to make easier progress which would have been made by working in a group where we could share the load. i have also learnt that my organisation was poor which has caused me to fall behind and this put me off continuing the work so i would do another subject. i have seent that i am understanding terminology and how to use equipment much easier and quicker.

Random editing

To get the pace going in my music video i have decided to remove the 30 second intro which is basically slow paced drumming. this means the song starts fast immediatly building up pace which can build the audience up to something. it also makes it much easier to build my music video around the pace as it not continually changing it also helps me build some similarities in the timings of the shots and editing.

May as well

By choosing a new song to make a video for, the style and the sound of the song differs from the previous one and this has given me new ideas in how i want the overall look of the video to be. Any changes will make my video more suitbale for the new song. the song also is fitting to the content of the video and has the sound i was looking for within the song. It is also a faster and more interestings making it easier to come up with interesting changes to my music video making it look much more professional.

Update....

I have decided to change my song, therefore i have had to change all of the research and build up work accordingly which i have done and can seen on my earlier posts. The new song is chosen the idea in the video is the same as the lyrics still have meaning to what i will be showing. I am filming the remaining shots needed and re shooting what needs to be done over the holidays and will continue with editing after christmas.
